Hey folks,
I was asked to do a little video for my high school’s prize giving. They wanted me to answer how my travels in Africa have made me appreciate growing up in Nelson, New Zealand and attending Waimea College. Here’s the link.

Excellent effort.
Flowed well, succinct and you got your key points across very well.
Im sure it will register with a lot of GenZ kids or whatever they are called these days.
Ten out of ten.

Hi Hap
I’m Niall, brought up in Scotland moved to NZ and just finished my 5th and final year Waimea College on Friday and got to see this amazing video. Over the time I have been at Waimea I have heard about you seen you talk and this video and I am interested in what you have done I think it is amazing and kind of want to follow in your footsteps but more of the stuff you are doing in Africa now. I want to help others who are less fortunate than me. I have found you inspirational and motivating. You have been one of my role models since I first seen you talk at Waimea.
My goal is slightly different goal from yours I want to help less fortunate children in at least one country in every continent excluding Antarctica for the obvious reason. Next year im on my first adventure to Australia to an indigenous school to be a teacher aid I would just like to congratulate you on your achievement and I will be following this blog to see where your adventures take you.
Well done.

HI Niall,
Sorry for my late reply but this is the first time i’m checking email since getting back from Kilmanjaro.
Wow, your email is very special for me, thank you very much to commenting, means a lot to hear that.
Great to hear your story and I wish you all the best on living your dream. If you have any questions then feel free to pop them through, I’m back in Nelson over christmas and early next year while i write my book so will probably bump into you in big ol Richmond.
